LESTER'S DISASTER

It was over. Janice Lester no longer had control of the Enterprise, she was about to be locked up, and she was utterly humiliated.

But, she thought as the doctors examined her prior to incarceration, it was something of a relief to be back in her own body.

"Miss Lester, you did not tell us this," said one physician, shattering her thoughts with the hum of his tricorder and his startled voice.

"What?" sighed Janice apprehensively.

"You are pregnant."

"WHAT??"

"My examination leaves no doubt," the doctor explained. "Your fetus is three weeks from conception, quite healthy, and one-quarter Vulcan."
